Sometimes there is that one tool you really need to run on your PC that can only be run from command prompt. Now every one know that in any recent version of Windows you can open command prompt by opening the Run window and typing in cmd, or you can go to the shortcut in accessories.
The only problem with is that using this approach will always open the command prompt in windows\system32 (where cmd.exe resides). In XP there was a way around this using a little registry hack which added the Open Command Prompt Here to the menu when you right clicked in Windows Explorer.
With Vista there is no need to do this. Holding the shift key when right clicking will bring up a slightly different context menu include the Open Command Prompt Here option. It’s only a small trick but can be very time saving.
