Photoshop Express

It’s taken a while but it would seem Adobe have finally decided to get in on the act as far as online photo editing goes. They’ve released a web version of their ever popular photo editing software Photoshop. It comes with online storage for your photos (at a reasonable space of 2 Gig), as well as the ability to create and share albums out to your friends and family.

Like most online online photo editors its a limited tool set you are presented with but they cover most of the basic needs: - Red eye reduction, saturation and lighting effects. As a nice bonus the api will also let you import photos from other sites where you might have them stored (Facebook, Phobucket and Pisca at the moment). The backgrounds for your shared galleries can be changed and you can give each photo a nice little caption if you want to. Over all it’s not a bad way to store and share your photo’s just like the hundred other options out there, I’m guessing adobe are hoping they can cash in on the Photoshop name to get a high volume of users.

At the moment it is still a beta release and there doesn’t seem to be any parts that you might need to pay for or the option to have photo’s printed out and posted to you. That’s likely to change once it goes to a full release (probably in the shape of an extra charge for greater storage capacity). I think I will be moving my photos here though.
